Andrew D. Keene
President and Chief Executive Officer
As President and Chief Executive Officer of Live Oak, Andrew’s responsibilities cover all activities of the firm. Andrew is principally focused day-to-day on acquisition evaluation, business and corporate development, strategy, and finance, as well as supervising accounting, tax, and legal matters.
Prior to joining Live Oak, Andrew spent over eight years in energy corporate and investment banking with two leading international banks. Andrew started his career with Citibank where he progressed from analyst to Vice President. After leaving Citibank in 2010, Andrew worked for the French investment bank Natixis, the Investment Banking arm of Group BPCE, one of the largest banks in Europe and a top 20 global financial institution. Most recently Andrew was a Vice President for Natixis’ Global Energy & Commodities division where he focused primarily on non-investment grade upstream reserve-based and leveraged finance. While at Natixis Andrew originated, structured and executed on key transactions as well worked on the development of several new products and business lines for the firm.
Andrew has extensive experience analyzing and structuring upstream oil and gas assets and upstream financings, ranging in size from several million dollars to multi-billion dollars. This transactional experience includes exposure to a wide variety of transaction types including but not limited to capital markets, reserve-based credit facilities, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, and structured commodity financings.
Andrew holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Energy Commerce (Petroleum Land Management), Magna Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Finance, with a Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence from the University of Houston. Andrew has additionally earned certificates in Energy Accounting & Finance and Upstream Investment Analysis from the University of Houston.
