Kate Dodd

Land Manager & Counsel

Kate Dodd is Land Manager & Counsel for Live Oak. She supports business development by performing title research, adding acquisition targets and monitoring industry activity.

Kate began her career as an environmental engineer for Arkema, a global specialty chemical company, where she managed all aspects of environmental compliance. After leaving Arkema to pursue her law degree, Kate became a landman for Centurion Land (previously WSHLAND). Kate gained extensive experience in mineral title determination, curative title solutions, and due diligence for leasehold acquisitions with a broad array of clients including some of the largest upstream and midstream companies in the industry.

Kate holds a B.S. in Biology from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from Tulane Law School.  She is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and American Association of Professional Landmen.  Kate has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 2013.
