Mark Hanna is Vice President of Land and General Counsel for Live Oak, its partnerships and subsidiaries. In this capacity, he manages land and legal matters concerning the entities’ oil and natural gas assets.

Mark previously worked for several years as Senior Landman in the Rockies/Permian business unit at EnerVest, Ltd.  Prior to that, he spent four years as an oil and gas attorney in private practice, advising clients primarily on upstream transactional and title matters. Mark has broad acquisition, divestiture and operational experience in most of the major basins and resource plays throughout Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Colorado.

Mark holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. He is a Member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and American Association of Professional Landmen. Mark has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 2010.
